Netflix Sub Loader – Privacy Policy

Netflix Sub Loader is a Chrome extension that shows external subtitles on Netflix and syncs their timing automatically. It has no servers of its own, collects no data, does no tracking and contains no ads.

Data handled and where it is stored

Subtitle files you choose or download, sync results and display settings: stored in the extension's storage on your device (chrome.storage.local), for up to the last 40 episodes.
Netflix subtitles and episode titles: read from the Netflix page you are watching, only to use as the timing reference and to prefill the subtitle search. The reference subtitles are stored on your device together with yours.
API keys for subtitle sites (SubSource, SubDL, OpenSubtitles) that you enter: stored only on your device.

Data sent

Only when you search for or download a subtitle, the extension sends, directly from your browser to the subtitle site you added an API key for: the title, the season and episode numbers, the language searched, the ID of the subtitle you picked and that site's API key. Those sites handle the data under their own privacy policies. Nothing else is sent anywhere.

Sharing

Netflix Sub Loader does not sell, share or transfer your data, does not use it for advertising or to determine creditworthiness, and uses it for nothing other than showing and syncing subtitles.

Deleting your data

Open the extension's settings page and click "Delete saved subtitles", or remove the extension from Chrome — all locally stored data is removed with it.
